Need help deploying cadloop Slicer?
Chalk Labs sets up agents like this inside real teams: connected to your tools, tested on your data, with a human in the loop where it matters.
Install
Works with Claude Code, Codex, VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop. Read the repository before you give any tool access to your data.
npx agentmarket install connector/richardofortune-cadloop-slicer
Asks which of your tools to add it to (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Claude Desktop) and shows the change first. See https://agentmart.dev/cli.

checkCompile a script without evaluating geometry. Fast syntax and reference check. Returns errors, warnings and any ECHO output.
check_bed_fitCompare an STL's footprint against the machine profile's printable area before slicing. The slicer will happily emit out-of-bounds G-code without complaining, so this is worth doing first. machine_profile defaults to the stored machine record, set up once by setup_printer. Pass it explicitly to check against a different printer. A stored printer that no longer matches the disk is refused here rather than used, because answering from a cached bed is how a part that does not fit gets told that it does. Rotating 45 degrees in Z is checked too, since a part that misses the bed square-on often fi…
echoEvaluate a script and return only its ECHO output. Use this to read computed values out of a model without paying for a mesh render.
extract_gcodePull the raw G-code for a plate out of a .gcode.3mf. Creality printers generally want a plain .gcode file, unlike Bambu machines which take the archive directly.
list_filesList files in the workspace matching a glob pattern.
list_profilesFind machine, process and filament profiles. kind is machine, process, filament or all. query filters on the profile name, case-insensitive.
machine_infoThe printer this workspace is set up for, and whether it is still current. Returns ok: null when setup has never run.
make_printableTake a model to files this printer can run, in one call. Renders each part, checks it against the bed, packs what fits onto as few plates as it can, slices them, and proves every printed feature lands on the bed. Reports what it arranged for you and what wants a human. Never edits the model: a part that cannot print as designed is reported, not altered.
measureRender to a throwaway STL and report bounding box, size, volume and triangle count. Use it to check a part fits the print bed.
model_infoReport what the slicer sees in a model or project file without slicing it. Uses --info.
openscad_infoReport the OpenSCAD binary, its version, and the workspace directory.
previewRender a PNG of the model and return it as an image. camera is OpenSCAD's own string. Seven numbers are gimbal style, translate x,y,z then rotate x,y,z then distance, for example "0,0,0,55,0,25,400". Six numbers are eye x,y,z then centre x,y,z. Leave it unset and viewall frames the object automatically. projection is "o" for orthogonal or "p" for perspective. Set full_render to evaluate the real geometry rather than the preview approximation. It is slower but shows what will export.
read_fileRead a text file from the workspace.
renderRender a script to a file in the workspace. The format is taken from the output extension: stl, off, amf, 3mf, dxf, svg, csg, png. Returns the manifold report OpenSCAD prints (simple, volumes, facets), plus bounding box and volume when the output is an STL. A png output keeps the picture instead of handing it back, which is what preview does. Use render when the image is the artefact — a before and after pair, a figure for a page — and preview when you only want to look. The view options below apply to png alone and mean what they mean in preview: camera is OpenSCAD's own string, seven numbe…
setup_printerWork out which printer this is for, once, and remember it. Reads what your slicer is already configured with, resolves it to a profile triple, proves the combination by slicing a 20mm cube, and stores the result. Every other tool then works without profile arguments. Pass printer, filament or process only to override what is configured, or when nothing is; each overrides that field alone, and the rest still come from your slicer's own settings. Reports the printer, the quality and the filament it settled on, and stores nothing at all unless the test slice succeeded.

slice_modelSlice one or more models to a .gcode.3mf and report the result. machine_profile, process_profile and filament_profiles are paths to profile JSONs, as returned by list_profiles. Load order matters: the machine profile is passed before the process profile. All three default to the stored machine record, set up once by setup_printer, so a normal call needs none of them. output defaults to None only to preserve the published positional parameter order; it is still required and raises if missing. overrides is a map of any slicer setting key to a value, passed as command-line flags. These beat bot…
slice_summaryRead filament usage, print time estimate and the settings actually used out of a sliced .gcode.3mf, without unpacking it.
slicer_infoReport the slicer binary, its version banner, and the full --help flag surface. Call this first. The Orca-family CLI changes between releases and Creality's fork diverges, so trust this over any assumed flag list.
write_fileWrite a text file into the workspace, creating parent directories.
