Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • check_subdomainCheck subdomain availabilityread-only

Check if a subdomain name is available for registration

  • delete_dns_recordDelete a DNS recordcan change or delete data

Delete a single DNS record from a subdomain. Identify it by record_id (shown in list_subdomains) or by record_type when the subdomain has exactly one record of that type.

  • delete_subdomainDelete a subdomaincan change or delete data

Delete a subdomain and all of its DNS records

  • list_domainsList domainsread-only

List all available domains for subdomain registration

  • list_emailsList received emailsread-only

List received emails for a subdomain (newest first)

  • list_requestsList captured requestsread-only

List captured HTTP requests for a subdomain, newest first (requires capture to be enabled)

  • list_subdomainsList your subdomainsread-only

List all your registered subdomains with their DNS records

  • read_emailRead a received emailread-only

Read a received email's full content, including the body

  • read_requestRead a captured requestread-only

Read a captured HTTP request's full detail, including headers and body

  • register_subdomainRegister a subdomain

Register a new subdomain, optionally with an initial DNS record

  • set_capture_responseSet the capture response

Set what a capture-enabled subdomain answers with. By default it returns a JSON acknowledgement; override the status code, content type, and body to test how a sender handles a specific response — for example returning 500 to trigger its retry logic. Omitted fields keep their current value. Send an empty body to restore the default acknowledgement. Content types that render in a browser (text/html, image/svg+xml) are rejected.

  • toggle_captureEnable or disable request capturecan change or delete data

Enable or disable HTTP request capture for a subdomain. When enabled, the hostname terminates at pntr and every inbound HTTP request is logged (view with list_requests/read_request). Enabling requires the subdomain to have no A/AAAA/CNAME records.

  • toggle_emailEnable or disable the email inboxcan change or delete data

Enable or disable the email inbox for a subdomain. When enabled, any address @subdomain receives mail (kept 48 hours, 90 days on premium).

  • toggle_subdomainEnable or disable a subdomaincan change or delete data

Enable or disable a subdomain. Disabling removes its DNS records so it stops resolving (config is kept); enabling re-creates them. Only enabled subdomains count toward your tier limit.

  • toggle_wildcardEnable or disable wildcard DNScan change or delete data

Enable or disable wildcard DNS (*.name.pntr.dev) for a subdomain. Premium feature; enabling requires an existing A, AAAA, or CNAME record to mirror.

Show 3 more tools
  • update_subdomainUpdate a subdomain

Set a DNS record on an existing subdomain (replaces an existing record of the same type) or update its description

  • wait_for_emailWait for a matching emailread-only

Wait up to 25 seconds for an email sent to an exact recipient, with optional exact sender, subject substring, and RFC3339 lower-bound filters. Returns the first matching email with its body. Useful for deterministic OTP, magic-link, and signup tests.

  • wait_for_requestWait for a matching requestread-only

Wait up to 25 seconds for a captured HTTP request. Optionally filter by exact method and path, case-insensitive header name with exact value, body substring, and RFC3339 lower bound. Returns stored request metadata, headers, and body; the body may be truncated at the capture size limit.
