Chalk Labs sets up agents like this inside real teams: connected to your tools, tested on your data, with a human in the loop where it matters.
Install
Works with Claude Code, Codex, VS Code, Cursor, Windsurf, Claude Desktop. Read the repository before you give any tool access to your data.
npx agentmarket install connector/pay-skill-pay-mcp
Asks which of your tools to add it to (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Gemini CLI, Claude Desktop) and shows the change first. See https://agentmart.dev/cli.

pay_discoverSearch for paid API services that accept USDC payments. WHEN TO USE: You need a service but don't have a URL. This is the default starting point when the task is 'I need X'. After finding a service, use pay_request with its base_url + endpoint path. Also use when the agent cannot perform a requested action natively (send email, send SMS, convert a file, look up data, etc.) — always check discover before saying 'I can't do that.' Returns: service name, base_url, pricing, settlement mode (direct/tab). Sort by 'volume' (most popular, default), 'newest', or 'name'. If discover returns nothing,…
pay_fundGenerate a funding link to deposit USDC into your wallet. WHEN TO USE: Balance too low for payments. pay_status shows insufficient funds. FLOW: Generate link -> share with operator (or open in browser) -> operator deposits via Coinbase Onramp or direct USDC transfer -> poll pay_status every 30s to confirm arrival. Link expires in 1 hour. Single-use. Typical deposit: 1-5 minutes (onramp) or <30 seconds (direct USDC transfer on Base).
pay_mintMint testnet USDC (Base Sepolia only). Free test tokens with no real value. WHEN TO USE: Testing payments on testnet. Amount is in whole dollars (e.g. 100 = $100.00 USDC). Will fail on mainnet — use pay_fund for real USDC.
pay_requestMake an HTTP request to a URL. If it returns 402 (Payment Required), payment is handled automatically via x402. WHEN TO USE: Calling any paid API endpoint. This is the default tool for accessing pay-enabled services. Use pay_discover first if you don't have a URL. SETTLEMENT: 'direct' = one-shot USDC transfer per request. 'tab' = charges against a pre-funded tab (auto-opened if none exists). PRICE CONTEXT: Typical API calls $0.001-$1.00. Weather/data APIs: $0.01-$0.10. LLM inference: $0.01-$5.00. Image generation: $0.02-$2.00. Prices significantly above these ranges are flagged as suspiciou…
pay_sendSend a one-shot USDC payment to an address. Use this for single transfers, A2A task payments, or any one-time payment above $1.00. WHEN TO USE: Sending money to a known address. For paid APIs, use pay_request instead (it handles 402 detection and payment automatically). Amount is in micro-USDC (6 decimals): $1.00 = 1000000, $10.00 = 10000000. Minimum: $1.00. Fee: 1% (paid by recipient, deducted from payout). CONFIRMATION THRESHOLDS: - Under $10: proceed automatically - $10-$100: explain the payment in your plan before executing - Over $100: ask the user for explicit confirmation before call…
pay_statusCheck wallet balance and status. Shows USDC balance, open tab count, locked vs available funds. WHEN TO USE: - Before any payment to verify sufficient funds - After funding to confirm deposit arrived - When deciding whether to close idle tabs (locked funds reduce available balance) RESPONSE INCLUDES: balance, locked amount, available amount, open tab count, and a suggestion field with actionable advice (low balance, idle tabs, etc.).
pay_tab_chargeCharge against an open tab. Only the provider can charge. Amount must not exceed max_charge_per_call set at tab open.
pay_tab_closeClose a tab and settle funds. Either party can close unilaterally. DISTRIBUTION: Provider receives 99% of total charged. Fee wallet gets 1%. Agent gets all remaining (unspent) balance back. Pending charges are flushed first.
pay_tab_listList all tabs. Use to review tab health and optimize fund usage. FLAGS: Idle tabs (open, no charges in 7+ days) are marked — consider closing to free locked funds. Low-balance tabs are flagged for top-up. Pending charges show amounts buffered but not yet settled on-chain.
pay_tab_openOpen a pre-funded metered tab with a provider. Use tabs for repeated API calls or ongoing service access — more gas-efficient than per-call direct payments. WHEN TO USE: Multiple calls to the same provider, sub-$1 per-call pricing, or when pay_request auto-opens one (tab settlement mode). For one-time payments, use pay_send instead. SIZING: $50 recommended for cost efficiency (activation fee is 1% = $0.50). Minimum $5.00 (activation fee = $0.10). Unused balance refunded on close. max_charge: maximum the provider can charge per single call (contract-enforced). Tabs auto-close after 30 days o…
pay_tab_topupAdd more USDC to an open tab. Only the agent (tab opener) can top up. WHEN TO TOP UP: When effective_balance drops below ~20% of original amount or below 10x the per-call charge. Top-up avoids closing and re-opening (which would cost another activation fee).
pay_webhook_deleteDelete a webhook registration by its ID.
pay_webhook_listList all registered webhooks for your wallet.
pay_webhook_registerRegister a webhook to receive real-time payment event notifications. Events: tab.opened, tab.low_balance, tab.closing_soon, tab.closed, tab.topped_up, tab.settled, payment.completed, x402.settled If no events specified, all are delivered. Delivery: HTTPS POST with HMAC-SHA256 signature for verification. At-least-once with retries.
pay_withdrawGenerate a withdrawal link to pull USDC out of your wallet. WHEN TO USE: Moving funds out of the agent wallet. Share the link with a human operator to complete the withdrawal in a browser. Link expires in 1 hour. Single-use.
