ci_informationread-onlyRetrieve CI pipeline execution information from Nx Cloud for the current branch. Supports Nx Cloud URLs: CIPE URLs (/cipes/{id}), run URLs (/runs/{id}), and task URLs (/runs/{id}/task/{taskId}). Without select parameter: Returns formatted overview (CIPE status, failed tasks, self-healing status). With select parameter: Returns raw JSON value at specified path. Includes selfHealingSkippedReason/selfHealingSkipMessage when self-healing was skipped (e.g. THROTTLED). Includes autoApplySkipped/autoApplySkipReason when a fix could have been auto-applied but was skipped. See output schema for availab…
ci_task_outputread-onlyRetrieve the terminal output (logs) for any CI task (failed or successful). If runId is provided, fetches logs directly from that run. If only taskId is provided, iterates through the runs of the matching CIPE (current branch by default) until the task is found. Supports Nx Cloud URLs for cross-branch lookups.
nx_available_pluginsread-onlyReturns a list of available Nx plugins from the core team as well as local workspace Nx plugins.
nx_current_running_task_outputread-onlyReturns the terminal output for a specific task from currently running Nx CLI processes. For large outputs, if a pagination token is returned, call this tool again with the token to retrieve additional results. Pagination works from the end of the outputs - page 0 shows the most recent output (end of the log), and subsequent pages show progressively older output.
nx_current_running_tasks_detailsread-onlyReturns a list of running commands (also called tasks) from currently running Nx CLI processes. This will include the process ID of the Nx CLI processes with task IDs and their status. There will be scenarios where the current process is not running anymore (as denoted by Stopped). Use this tool if users ask for information about recently run tests, builds or other commands. Use this tool for assisting with debugging and getting details about the current running tasks. Use nx_current_running_task_output to get the terminal output for specific tasks.
nx_docsread-onlyReturns a list of documentation sections that could be relevant to the user query. IMPORTANT: ALWAYS USE THIS IF YOU ARE ANSWERING QUESTIONS ABOUT NX. NEVER ASSUME KNOWLEDGE ABOUT NX BECAUSE IT WILL PROBABLY BE OUTDATED. Use it to learn about nx, its configuration and options instead of assuming knowledge about it.
nx_generator_schemaread-onlyReturns the complete JSON schema for a specific Nx generator. The schema contains all available options with their types, descriptions, default values, validation rules, and whether they're required or optional. Many generators also include helpful examples showing common usage patterns. The tool automatically handles generator aliases (e.g., 'app' vs 'application').
nx_generatorsread-onlyReturns a complete list of all available Nx generators in the workspace, including both plugin-provided generators (like @nx/react:component) and local workspace generators. The output shows each generator's name with its description, useful for discovering what generators exist or finding one that matches a specific need.
nx_project_detailsread-onlyReturns the project configuration for a specific Nx project. When called without a select parameter, targets are shown in a compressed plain-text format (executor/command, dependencies, cache status) to optimize token usage, while all other configuration (metadata, project dependencies, external dependencies) is shown in full JSON. Use the select parameter with dot notation to access complete unabridged configuration for specific paths (e.g., select="targets.build" for full build target config including all options, inputs, outputs). This tool is ideal for: understanding what targets are avail…
nx_visualize_graphVisualize the Nx graph. This can show either a project graph or a task graph depending on the parameters. Use this to help users understand project dependencies or task dependencies. There can only be one graph visualization open at a time so avoid similar tool calls unless the user specifically requests it.
nx_workspaceread-onlyReturns a readable representation of the nx project graph and the nx.json that configures nx. If there are project graph errors, it also returns them. Use it to answer questions about the nx workspace and architecture.
nx_workspace_pathread-onlyReturns the path to the Nx workspace root
update_self_healing_fixApply or reject a self-healing CI fix from Nx Cloud. Use this tool after reviewing a suggested fix to record your decision. The fix can be identified by aiFixId, shortLink, or auto-detected from the current branch.
