  • add_generated_image_to_card

    Generate one teaching-relevant image and attach it to an existing flashcard. Inspect the exact card with sql_query first. Prefer the back unless the user requested the front. A front image and alt text must remain a recall cue and never reveal the answer. Use only for an explicit image request or delegated visual augmentation.

    Run a bash command in this chat's sandbox and get its exit code, stdout, and stderr. /files holds the files the user attached and is read-only; /work is writable scratch space kept for this chat, and commands start there. Each call is a fresh shell: only files under /work last between calls. Tools: cat, head, tail, sed, grep, rg, awk, jq, yq, xan, sort, uniq, wc, cut, find, ls, file, diff, split, gzip, tar, python3 (standard library only), sqlite3 (SQL only, no dot-commands), and js-exec (JavaScript, with the user's flashcards through tools.sql), plus fc-sql-query and fc-sql-execute.     Returns a Nibomo guide: study (explaining studying, nothing due), card_authoring (card rules, tags, duplicates, formatting, card links), bulk_authoring (large write jobs), review_flow (grading), sql_dialect (grammar, limits, examples).

  • get_usage_limits

    Returns the user's plan, monthly AI limits and this month's AI usage. null aiMonthlyMessages means uncapped, not zero; aiMonthlyWeightedTokens and remainingWeightedTokens are always null. The month is UTC and resets at usage.monthEndsAt.

  • list_workspaces

    Lists the user's workspaces; isSelected marks the default used when workspaceId is omitted.

  • next_review_card

    Returns the next card to review (cardId, frontText, no answer) in app queue order: due cards reviewed within an hour, other due cards, then new. card:null: nothing due in that selection (all cards when unfiltered); tell nextDueAt in the learner's timezone (null: none scheduled), don't re-call, and offer adding cards or ungraded practice (get_guide(study)).

  • reveal_answer

    Returns a card's backText to compare with the learner's attempt; call it only after they answer. Changes nothing.

  • sql_execute

    Description is built at runtime.

  • sql_query

    Description is built at runtime.

  • submit_review

    Before the first grading in a conversation, read get_guide(review_flow) and follow it. Records the rating now and advances the card's authoritative FSRS schedule; returns the new schedule. Past reviews cannot be imported, and a saved review cannot be changed.

  • view_file

    Look at one image (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP) or one page of a PDF from /files or /work. Pass the 1-based page for a PDF and null for an image. Use it for what text does not carry, such as photos, scans, charts and layout; read text, CSV and other files with bash. You see the image or page during this turn only: later turns keep a [view_file showed ...] note, so call view_file again to look again.
