  • MUSTERD_SERVER

Tools (33)

Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • lane_board

The lane board: who owns what, in what state, with live contention warnings. Pull at task start and before picking up new work.

  • lane_claim

Take ownership of an open lane. Refuses a lane a live teammate already owns — ask them to hand it over or release it. Returns the lane + contention warnings.

  • lane_handoff

Hand a lane to another seat with its branch, so work arrives as an artifact. Put the why in `note` — it rides the same act, so no second send. Wake-eligible if they are offline + host-enrolled.

  • lane_open

Declares a unit of work as a lane: title, the paths it touches, what it builds on. claim:true takes ownership when the work is yours. Returns the lane + advisory contention warnings (unmet dependency, surface overlap) — never blocking.

  • lane_release

Let go of a lane you own without finishing it — it returns to the board as open for anyone. Use when you park work rather than complete it; a claimed lane sitting idle reserves work nobody is doing.

  • lane_resolve

Mark a lane done — clears its warnings and releases its surface. If its branch landed, attest the merge: pass pr, sha, and authorized_by so the audit log joins your seat to the landed SHA and the authorizing human. Landed without a PR? Omit pr and pass sha alone. Closing someone else's lane? The worker's own lane_submit stamp stands and your flags are ignored (ADR 305); pass them only when the lane has no attestation yet, which then records yours. Prefer lane_submit (ADR 192): a self-close records unconfirmed unless acceptance-exempt.

  • lane_submit

After merge, submit PR/SHA evidence; provide A2 proof for authorized_by. Response names the acceptor and next step.

  • lane_update

Update a lane: state (active/blocked/done/…), title, scope, depends_on, branch, detail, project, goal_id. Going active re-runs contention checks.

  • team_agent_connect

Get a one-time connect link (15 minutes) for one of the team's member-created agents, to open on the device that will run it. Connecting takes the agent over from whatever device held it; the agent's sponsor is told. Who may is team policy.

  • team_agent_create

Create an agent on this team that you sponsor. Returns a one-time connect link (15 minutes) to open on the device that will run it. It expires when you do, and removing you removes it. At most 3 live agents each.

  • team_availability

Set your OWN availability (ADR 044): 'available', 'away' (holds notifications; pass `until` as an ISO time for the roster's "off until"), or 'dnd' (only urgent gets through). Explicit and self-only — never inferred, never set on your behalf. The CLI twin is `musterd availability`. Added 2026-09-03 (surface survey #1245): agents had no way to say they were away.

  • team_goal_declare

Declare a Goal (a named outcome). Lanes link to it via goal_id; status is derived from them, never stored. Re-declaring the same id amends it (wholesale — pass every field you want kept). depends_on names goals that must ship first; ordering is otherwise automatic (most recently declared first), so there is no rank to maintain.

  • team_goal_outcome

Record what a shipped goal changed for a user — one sentence of evidence, rendered beside the goal. Re-record to amend; latest wins.

  • team_goal_retract

Retract (withdraw) a Goal from the board — a signal folded on read, never a deletion: the goal stays in the log and listable via include_retracted, and re-declaring the same id revives it. Use for goals that are obsolete, merged into another, or scratch.

  • team_goals

List declared Goals with derived status (planned/in-flight/shipped, computed from their lanes) — the outcome layer above lanes; team_next picks the next one. Retracted goals hide unless include_retracted is set.

Show 18 more tools
  • team_inbox_check

Check unread, marking them read. Past `limit` nothing is marked read. `ids` reads named acts in full; `full` longer. `wait` blocks for a directed act.

  • team_insight_save

Save a reusable finding for the WHOLE team (team_memory_save is seat-private): a trap fixed, a measured number, how something works. Findable via team_insight_search; promote durable ones into docs/wiki/.

  • team_insight_search

Search the team's saved insights by keyword — before re-deriving what a teammate may have recorded.

  • team_join

Claim your seat and go online — the CLI spelling is `musterd claim` (ADR 075/377). Use as, role, or this Workspace's policy. May wait for approval; wait:0 returns at once.

  • team_leave

Goes offline and releases your seat. Use when wrapping a session, not mid-task. The seat is held ~45s for a quick rejoin; team_join brings you back.

  • team_members

Detail on one member (or all): current work, model, roles, presence. Filter by role to find who holds a duty ("who is platform?"). Use to pick who to hand off to or ask for help.

  • team_memory_read

Load this seat's saved memory (seat-private; team findings are team_insight_search) — the full note behind the headline team_join showed. Call when the headline looks relevant; judge staleness from its age.

  • team_memory_save

SEAT-PRIVATE (the team_ prefix is the tool namespace, not the audience — for the whole team use team_insight_save). Saves this seat's working state for the next session or occupant: what you were doing, decisions mid-flight, where you left off. Working state ONLY — durable knowledge (traps, technique, learned facts) goes in docs/wiki/ pages, not here (ADR 259). Use at wrap-up or handoff, not mid-task. One note per seat, last-write-wins. headline ≤120 chars (shown on the next occupy); body ≤8KB. Private to this seat; never store secrets.

  • team_next

Read your orientation: carried work, shipped work, open Lanes, and the latest handoff.

  • team_report

Read Team coordination at ic, team, or exec altitude. Derived from Lanes and Acts; measures outcomes and queues.

  • team_seed_get

Read one shared Seed, including its immutable source and public exploration thread.

  • team_seed_list

List shared Team ideas waiting for exploration. The default active tray includes work in progress and recently completed Seeds; history:true includes every Seed.

  • team_seed_update

Advance a Seed: claim, ask, answer, submit, or promote. input is {body}, {result, brief, conclusion?}, or {title?,detail?}; omit it for claim.

  • team_send

Send a coordination Act. Use status_update to add to your lane, request_help when blocked, handoff to transfer work, accept/decline to answer, wait to pause, resolve to close a thread, steer to redirect, challenge for justification, defer to shelve a Goal, or ask a human. ask requires meta.species and meta.tier; handoff names its lane in meta.lane_handoff {lane, branch} or one is derived. 2–4 to names mean any may answer on message, request_help, or challenge — not ask (quiet-set fan-out is unshipped, ADR 260 / ADR 401).

  • team_status

The team roster grouped by working / here / out: who is on the team, what each is working on, their model, and where. Check it before picking up work or choosing who to hand off to.

  • team_style

Humans only: how seats talk to you — your dials, the resolved result, the block your seats read.

  • team_style_set

Humans only: set a dial or your prose (≤5 lines); others keep their value. clear:true empties all.

  • team_wake_context

Read your wake context packet for one directed Act or owned Lane: the waking thread, what else is open, your lane and your memory (ADR 430). Fetch more only for what fetch lists.
