  • kube_contextsList Kubernetes Contexts

List the kubeconfig contexts that tools may target via their `context` argument, with MCP_KUBE_CONTEXTS aliases, cluster, default namespace, and which context is the default. Reads kubeconfig only; does not contact clusters.

  • kube_diagnoseDiagnose Kubernetes Workloads

Diagnose a named Pod, Deployment, StatefulSet, DaemonSet, ReplicaSet, Job, or CronJob using owned workloads, events, required configuration/storage references, and bounded failing-container logs. Returns evidence-backed findings and explicit collection gaps; no exec or mutations. Resource types default to pod and accept case-insensitive singular/plural names. Available through tools.kubernetes.diagnose in code mode.

  • kube_get

Get a specific Kubernetes resource directly from the API (close to kubectl describe). Supports any resource (core, built-in, or CRD) via kind/plural or group/version/resource, and provides structured details with optional events and diagnostics. Also supports listing when no name is provided.

  • kube_list

List Kubernetes resources by type with common selectors (supports: [pod, service, deployment, node, role, clusterrole, rolebinding, clusterrolebinding, replicaset, statefulset, daemonset, job, cronjob, hpa, pdb, endpoints, endpointslice, resourcequota, limitrange, namespace, persistentvolume, persistentvolumeclaim, secret, configmap]). If resourceType is omitted, returns a consolidated cluster overview with diagnostics and actionable insights across supported resources.

  • kube_logsRead Kubernetes Pod Logs

Tail logs from multiple pods/containers with dynamic discovery, filters, and merged Kubernetes events. REQUIRED: Provide at least one pod identification method: podName (specific pod), labelSelector (e.g., "app=myapp"), or ownerKind+ownerName (e.g., Deployment name). Supports both one-shot and bounded streaming reads.

  • kube_metrics

One-shot cluster metrics and diagnostics. By default returns node and workload (pods) CPU/memory plus a summary and detected problems. Supports optional focus on nodes or pods, namespace scoping, and Prometheus enrichment.

  • kube_netProbe Kubernetes Pod Networkingread-only

Network diagnostics from a source pod: DNS resolution, internet egress, and pod/service connectivity checks with robust fallbacks.

  • kube_pod_execExecute Command in Kubernetes Podcan change or delete data

Execute a command in a container of a pod via the Kubernetes API (no kubectl). Captures stdout/stderr and returns them when the command completes.

  • kube_port_forwardForward a Local Port to Kubernetes

Temporary port-forward to a pod/service for local probing (runs with a timeout).
