approval_decideReject a pending sendReject a send that is waiting for human approval, so it is never delivered. `decision` accepts only "reject". Approving is deliberately not available over MCP — it requires a signed-in browser session with an owner or admin role, at the review_url of the approval.
approval_reviewReview a pending sendread-onlyFetch the full contents of a send that is waiting for human approval, including its body, so it can be shown in the review card. Read-only. Approving is not possible from here: it requires the signed-in review page linked as review_url.
approval_scheduleSchedule a pending sendSet the delivery time of a send that is waiting for human approval. Nothing is queued until it is approved; this only decides when an approved message goes out. send_at must be in the future.
approval_updateEdit a pending sendChange the subject or body of a send that is waiting for human approval. The message still has to be approved afterwards, and the reviewer sees the edited version. Subject can only be set on operations that carry one (email_send, schedule_create).
bulk_cancelCancel a previewed bulk operationDecline a previewed bulk delete or move, so it can never run. Takes only the plan_id. Nothing in the mailbox changes. A preview would also expire on its own after 15 minutes; cancelling records the decision instead of leaving it implicit.
bulk_executeRun a previewed bulk operationcan change or delete dataRun a bulk delete or move that was previewed as a plan. Takes only the plan_id: which messages are affected was decided and frozen when the preview was created, and cannot be changed here. A plan runs at most once and expires 15 minutes after it is created.
contact_searchFind people the user has corresponded with, by name or address.
draft_editor_hideHide the draft editor cardcan change or delete dataHide the in-chat draft editor card, or show it again, when the user asks for that, either for one inbox or for the whole workspace. This is a display preference only: drafts, sending and every other tool are completely unaffected, and the same draft results keep coming back as plain text. Pass hidden:false to turn it back on, which works at either scope even while the card is hidden. Hiding or showing it for the WHOLE workspace changes it for every member, so that scope needs a workspace owner or admin; one inbox needs no extra role.
draft_editor_saveSave an edited draftSave the fields a person edited in the draft editor. Every field is optional and an omitted one keeps its stored value. No signature is applied, unlike the draft tool's 'update' when it is given a body: the text being saved is the text the person was shown, which already carries one if the inbox has one. Nothing is sent. On IMAP the save returns a NEW draft_id and the old one stops resolving. On IMAP and Gmail the save rebuilds the message from its text, so a draft with attachments, inline images other than its own signature images, or other extra parts is refused and left unchanged. A save ag…
draft_listSaved drafts of one inbox (subject and recipients, no bodies).
draft_readRead one draft in fullread-onlyGet the current text of one unsent draft, for example before revising a draft the user edited in the draft editor card. Returns recipients, subject, body_text and attachment names. Read-only: nothing is written and nothing is sent. Needs the 'read:email' scope as well as 'manage:drafts'. The user can edit, save and send a draft in the draft editor card, and you may not be told, so read it again before stating its current subject, recipients or whether it was sent: a sent draft answers that it was already sent. Where the card is on, the host shows a one-line summary for this read rather than a …
edit_draftChange the current draft: its body, its recipients (to, cc) or its subject. Give only what changes. A new body must be the COMPLETE text; the user sees the changes highlighted. Only when a current draft exists.
email_deleteMove messages to Trash (recoverable). delete: one message_id. delete_batch: message_ids. Permanent deletion is not available.
email_organizeChange mail in one inbox, by message id. move / move_batch: into destination_folder_id (a folder id from folder_list). archive: out of the Inbox (message_id, or message_ids for several). flag: flag_action read | unread | flag (star) | unflag on message_ids. The user can undo all of these.
email_readRead mail in one inbox. list: recent messages of a folder (previews). search: filters, ANDed. read: one full plain-text body. read_batch: several bodies at once (shorter window). list and search return one page: has_more with next_offset means there is more.

request_sendAsk the user to approve sending the current draft. You cannot send mail yourself: this shows the draft for approval and ends your turn. Only when the user asked in this request to send. When the user names the recipient in the same request ("send it to ..."), pass it in `to`: the draft sent for approval must carry it.
subscriptions_cleanupUnsubscribe from chosen senderscan change or delete dataUnsubscribe from senders picked from a subscriptions_scan plan. One-click senders are unsubscribed by the server; senders that unsubscribe by email get a DRAFT in Drafts that the user sends themselves (nothing is ever sent); link-only senders come back as a link for the user to open. backlog "archive" also archives what those senders already sent. Only sender_keys from the plan are accepted, and each sender is asked once. Use continue: true with the same plan_id to finish archiving. When the scan's card is shown, the user picks and runs the cleanup on the card; call this tool only when the use…
subscriptions_scanFind newsletter and list subscriptionsread-onlyDescription is built at runtime.
write_draftWrite an email into the user's compose view, where they see it appear and can edit it. It is NOT sent and NOT saved. Give the arguments in the order listed, body last.
