Tools (15)

Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • a
  • activate_group

    Description is built at runtime.

  • add_note

Add a note with a title and optional body and tags.

  • call_tool

Invoke a tool on a connected server. THIS IS THE STEP THAT ANSWERS THE USER -- list_capabilities only finds the name. `server`/`tool` are catalogue names. Side effects are the backend tool's own. Returns its result as text, big ones via retrieve_spill.

  • describe_tool

Get the arguments of ONE backend tool, before call_tool. `server`/`tool` are catalogue names; an unknown one returns the valid ones. Read-only. Returns each argument and its type.

  • find_notes

Find notes matching every filter in params.filters.

  • get_counter

Return the current value of the notes counter.

  • list_capabilities

    Description is built at runtime.

  • list_groups_with_costs

Tool GROUPS with the context-token cost of loading each; to find a tool use list_capabilities. Read-only. Returns a line per group and the totals.

  • list_skills

    Description is built at runtime.

  • read_skill

Get the full text of one skill. Use after list_skills, once you know which skill applies; an unknown name returns the list of valid names instead. Read-only: reads one file from a configured skill folder, never a path you pass. Returns the SKILL.md text.

  • restore_groups

Load the tool groups the PREVIOUS session activated (list_groups_with_costs shows them and their cost). Optional: call it only when this task needs the same tools.

  • retrieve_spill

Read back the FULL original of a result call_tool shortened, by the id in its notice; an unknown or pruned id fails saying so. Read-only. Returns a text window, or grep's lines.

  • search_capabilities

Find a tool by keyword on every connected server; cheaper than list_capabilities when you know roughly what you want. Read-only. Returns a line per match, best first, with args.
