Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • activate_vps_backupTurn on VPS backups

Turn on daily backups for a running Linux server. COSTS MONEY right away: the whole period (1 or 12 months) is charged from the wallet and there is no dry run. Prices (priceMonthly / priceYearly, IDR) are in list_backup_plans. The server must be running.

  • add_contactAdd contact

Add or update an audience contact.

  • add_domain_email_recordsAdd email records to a domain

Add the DNS records a Helipod Email sending domain still needs to this registered domain (Helipod DNS only), then start its verification. Records that would clash (a CNAME on a name in use, a second SPF) are not changed and are listed in conflicts. emailDomainId comes from list_domain_email_records.

  • add_email_domainAdd sending domain

Add a sending domain; the response lists the DNS records the domain needs; verify_email_domain checks them.

  • add_email_suppressionSuppress an address

Never email this address again from the project (e.g. someone asked to be removed).

  • add_firewall_rulesAdd firewall rules

Add inbound rules. Port: a number, a range a-b, a comma list, or ALL.

  • add_secret_fileAdd secret file

Upload a file (certificate, key, credentials JSON, config) that is mounted read-only into the service at mountPath. Content is base64 of the file's bytes, at most 10 MB; it is stored as a secret and can never be read back. Applies on the next deploy.

  • add_service_domainAdd domain to service

Add a free *.helipod.app domain (kind=helipod) or your own domain (kind=custom) to a port. For custom domains, the response's dns field is the DNS record the domain needs.

  • add_volumeAdd volume

Add persistent storage mounted at a path (billed daily per GB, first 1 GB free). Applies on the next deploy.

  • add_vps_portAdd port forward

Forward a public port to the server: protocol tcp/udp/both uses a port inside the server's portRange (from list_vps_ports); protocol http/https routes a domain on port 80/443 to internalPort (point the domain's DNS at the server's IP first). The server must be running.

  • add_vps_ssh_keyAdd SSH key

Allow an SSH PUBLIC key (e.g. the contents of ~/.ssh/id_ed25519.pub) to log in as root; at most 10 per server. Never send a private key: it is refused. The server must be running.

  • apply_snapshotRoll back to snapshot

Roll the server's disk back to a snapshot. Everything written since is lost.

  • browse_database_tableBrowse table rows

Rows of a table, a page at a time (limit up to 200, offset to page). Read-only. Rows are returned as stored, including any sensitive columns.

  • browse_vps_backup_filesBrowse files in a backup

List the files and folders at a path inside a restore point (names, types, sizes, dates; not file contents). Use it to pick paths for restore_vps_backup or prepare_vps_backup_download.

  • buy_email_inbox_addonSet inbox add-ons

Set the TOTAL extra mailboxes and extra inbox storage on the active paid plan (absolute numbers, not additions; get_email_plan returns the current values). Increases are charged now, prorated to the plan's end date, then renew with the plan; decreases must still fit what is in use. COSTS MONEY from the wallet. dryRun=true returns the charge (IDR) and walletBalanceAfter without charging or changing anything.

Show 219 more tools
  • buy_email_planBuy email plan

Start an email plan for the project (a free plan activates without charge). Works for a project with no email yet: the real call also sets email up (result.setup). COSTS MONEY from the wallet. dryRun=true returns the charge (IDR) and walletBalanceAfter without charging or changing anything. The dry run's mode says purchase, activate_free or already_active.

  • cancel_email_broadcastCancel broadcast

Cancel a scheduled broadcast, or stop one that is sending (emails already sent stay sent).

  • cancel_vps_backupCancel VPS backups

Stop renewing the server's backups. Backups keep running until the paid period ends; after that and a grace period the backups are DELETED and can no longer be restored. (update_vps_backup autoRenew=true undoes it before the end.)

  • change_email_planChange email plan

Move the active email plan to another plan. An upgrade applies now and charges the prorated difference to the same end date; a downgrade is scheduled for the next cycle (no refund). COSTS MONEY from the wallet. dryRun=true returns the charge (IDR) and walletBalanceAfter without charging or changing anything.

  • check_registrantCheck owner details

Whether the account's domain owner details are complete (required before the first registration) and which fields are missing. Fill them with update_registrant.

  • classify_database_sqlClassify SQL (no run)

What a SQL statement is (command, e.g. select / update / drop) and whether it writes, WITHOUT running it. It reports what a statement would change before execute_database_sql runs it; readOnly statements can run with query_database.

  • close_support_ticketClose support ticket

Close a support ticket once the issue is solved (a closed ticket takes no more replies). Needs a whole-account key (a key limited to one project gets 403 ACCOUNT_KEY_REQUIRED).

  • control_vps_migrationPause, resume or stop a migration job

Pause, resume or stop an upload or restore that runs from a one-time command on a server (it must have checked in: result.control is set). The job follows within about 5 seconds; result.control.state shows when it did. Stop is final: the job ends as failed (stopped); a new command (new_vps_migration_command) starts the upload again and reuses what was already uploaded where possible. The user can do the same on that server with sudo helipod-migrate pause | resume | stop.

  • copy_vps_backupCopy a restore point to another VPS

Copy a restore point of one VPS (vpsId, pointId from list_vps_restore_points) onto ANOTHER VPS of the same account (targetVpsId; to bring the same VPS back use restore_vps_backup). Free. mode=files copies 1-50 paths onto any running VPS: target=folder (default) into /root/restore-<date>, target=inplace OVERWRITES files at the same paths. mode=full turns the target into a full copy: everything on it is replaced; only between two VPS of the same kind running the same OS and version. Runs in the background: follow it with list_vps_migrations on the TARGET VPS. If the result has a command, the tar…

  • create_child_nameserverCreate child nameserver

Create a child nameserver (glue record) under the domain, e.g. hostname ns1 → ns1.yourdomain.com pointing to an IP. Only needed to run your own nameservers on this domain.

  • create_databaseCreate database

Create the managed Postgres database of a project (free plan; one database per project, one branch per environment). Returns the existing one if the project already has it.

  • create_database_branchCreate database branch

Give an environment (e.g. staging) its own branch: a copy of the source environment's data at this moment (the primary when omitted).

  • create_email_broadcastCreate broadcast draft

Create a broadcast draft (nothing is sent). Audience: a segmentId, a topicId, or neither for all subscribed contacts. body is HTML; an unsubscribe link is added for each recipient. Send later with send_email_broadcast or schedule_email_broadcast.

  • create_email_segmentCreate segment

Save a segment (a filter over contacts) to target broadcasts. Check the size first with preview_email_segment.

  • create_email_templateCreate email template

Create a template for send_email (templateId + templateData). Use {{name}} placeholders in subject and bodies.

  • create_email_topicCreate topic

Create a subscription topic. defaultSubscribed (default true) says whether contacts start subscribed to it.

  • create_email_webhookCreate email webhook

POST email events to an HTTPS URL. The response holds the signing secret ONCE: it is not shown again.

  • create_environmentCreate environment

Add an environment (e.g. staging) to a project. Free; services in it are billed as usual once deployed.

  • create_inbox_addressCreate inbox address

Create a mailbox (kind=mailbox with domainId) or an alias that delivers into a mailbox (kind=alias with mailboxId), optionally forwarding copies. The domain must have receiving set up. Webmail passwords are set in the dashboard only.

  • create_projectCreate project

Create a project (free) with its default production environment. Needs a whole-account key (a key limited to one project gets 403). Pass an idempotencyKey when retrying.

  • create_serviceCreate service

Create a service from a container image, a Git repository or an inline Dockerfile, and (unless deploy=false) start its first deploy. Private GitHub / GitLab repos work once connected (get_git_connections, list_git_repos); such services also redeploy on every push. A private repo that is not connected is refused (409 GITHUB_NOT_CONNECTED / GITLAB_NOT_CONNECTED / REPO_NOT_ACCESSIBLE, nothing created): give the user details.connectUrl and retry after they connect. COSTS MONEY once deployed (billed daily from the wallet): call with dryRun=true first, show the dailyCost to the user and get their OK…

  • create_snapshotCreate snapshot

Take a snapshot of the server's disk (free; the plan limits how many you keep).

  • create_stackCreate stack from spec

Create several connected services from a template spec ({ version: 1, inputs?, services: [...] }) and deploy them in dependency order. COSTS MONEY: dryRun=true first. See https://docs.helipod.io/docs/container-api/templates-and-stacks

  • create_support_ticketOpen support ticket

Open a ticket with Helipod support (at most 5 an hour; replies go to an open ticket with reply_support_ticket). The subject and message are sent to Helipod support as written. Needs a whole-account key (a key limited to one project gets 403 ACCOUNT_KEY_REQUIRED).

  • create_vpsCreate VPS

Order a server. COSTS MONEY right away (the whole billing period is charged from the wallet; refunded if provisioning fails). Show the plan price from list_vps_plans and get the user's explicit OK first. Provisioning takes a few minutes: poll get_vps.

  • create_vps_importStart a server import (Migrate to Helipod)

Start moving a server from OUTSIDE Helipod (any Linux server with root) onto this running VPS. Free; one import per VPS, at most 3 per account, kept 7 days, the upload is capped at this VPS's disk. Returns a one-time command (curl ... | sudo bash) that works ONCE and expires in 1 hour: give it to the user to run as root on the OLD server; never run it yourself and do not store it. Pass sourceIp (the old server's public IP, e.g. from curl -4 ifconfig.me there) so the command only works from that server; recommended. Then follow it with get_vps_migration: waiting → uploading → inspecting → uploa…

  • delete_child_nameserverDelete child nameserver

Delete a child nameserver. Any domain still using it as a nameserver stops resolving: check with the user first.

  • delete_databaseDelete database

Delete a database with ALL its data and branches. Irreversible. Only after the user confirms; confirm must be the database name.

  • delete_database_branchDelete database branch

Delete an environment's branch and its data. The primary (production) branch cannot be deleted.

  • delete_dns_recordDelete DNS record

Delete one DNS record (name, type and current content must match).

  • delete_email_contactDelete email contact

Delete a contact and its history. unsubscribe_email_contact stops emails and keeps the opt-out on record; this deletes the contact.

  • delete_email_domainDelete sending domain

Remove a sending domain: email can no longer be sent from its addresses.

  • delete_email_segmentDelete segment

Delete a segment (its contacts are kept).

  • delete_email_suppressionRemove suppression

Allow an address to be emailed again. Only when the person asked for it or the bounce was fixed: emailing addresses that bounced or complained hurts the project's sending reputation.

  • delete_email_templateDelete email template

Delete a template. Code that still sends with its templateId will fail.

  • delete_email_topicDelete topic

Delete a topic and every contact's subscription to it.

  • delete_email_webhookDelete email webhook

Stop sending events to a webhook URL.

  • delete_environmentDelete environment

Delete an EMPTY environment (409 ENVIRONMENT_NOT_EMPTY while it has services: delete them first). Irreversible. Only after the user confirms; confirm must be the environment's exact name.

  • delete_inbox_addressDelete inbox address

Delete a receiving address: mail to it is no longer accepted (messages already received are kept).

  • delete_inbox_messageDelete inbox message

    Delete a received message permanently.

  • delete_projectDelete project

Delete an EMPTY project and its environments and shared variables. Irreversible. Refused (409 PROJECT_NOT_EMPTY) while it still has services, databases, VPS or other resources: those must be deleted first. Needs a whole-account key. Only after the user confirms; confirm must be the project's exact name.

  • delete_project_variableDelete shared project variable

Remove one shared project variable. Services that reference it lose it on their next deploy: check with the user.

  • delete_secret_fileDelete secret file

Delete a secret file; it is gone from the service after the next deploy and cannot be recovered (contents are never readable).

  • delete_serviceDelete service

Stop and delete a service with its domains and volumes. Volume data is lost.

  • delete_snapshotDelete snapshot

Delete a snapshot permanently (it can no longer be rolled back to).

  • delete_variableDelete variable

Remove one variable. Applies on the next deploy.

  • delete_volumeDelete volume

Remove a volume; its data is lost on the next deploy.

  • delete_vps_migrationDelete a VPS migration

Delete a migration; an import's uploaded files are deleted from storage and cannot be restored any more. A running upload is told to stop. Not while a restore or the upload check runs.

  • deploy_serviceDeploy service

Start a new deployment (Git services build the latest commit). COSTS MONEY: charges today's cost when the build starts, refunded if it fails. dryRun=true returns the cost only. The deployment runs in the background; get_deployment returns its status.

  • deploy_templateDeploy template

Create every service of a template in an environment and deploy them. COSTS MONEY (each service is billed daily).

  • describe_database_tableDescribe database table

Columns of a table (name, type, nullable, default).

  • disable_whois_privacyDisable WHOIS privacy

Turn WHOIS privacy off: the owner's name, address, email and phone become PUBLIC in WHOIS (no refund; turning it back on with enable_whois_privacy costs money).

  • domain_pricesDomain prices

Registration, renewal and transfer prices per extension (IDR, VAT included) and the yearly WHOIS privacy price.

  • email_analyticsEmail analytics

Sent, delivered, bounced, complained, opened and clicked counts and rates for a period.

  • email_statusEmail status

Email service of the key's project: plan, usage today and this month, limits, counts. activated false = email is not set up yet: start it with buy_email_plan.

  • enable_whois_privacyEnable WHOIS privacy

Hide the owner's details in WHOIS. COSTS MONEY (the whois_protection price per year).

  • execute_database_sqlExecute SQL (writes)

Run a statement that changes data or schema (INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE, CREATE, ALTER, DROP…). classify_database_sql reports what a statement does without running it. It runs on the chosen environment's branch.

  • generate_ai_imageGenerate images

Generate images with a Helipod AI Gateway image model (list_ai_models shows them under imageModels, with sizes and the price per image). COSTS MONEY from the AI balance: call with dryRun=true first to get the price, tell the user, and wait for a yes. The real call waits up to `wait` seconds (default 50) and returns the images (shown inline when small, plus links); if it is still running it returns the id: call get_ai_image. Images are kept 7 days, then deleted: tell the user to download the ones they keep. Failed images are not charged.

  • get_ai_imageGet an image request

One image request by id (from generate_ai_image): status (processing / succeeded / failed), the images (shown inline when small, plus fresh links), the date they are deleted, or the error.

  • get_ai_metricsAI metrics

AI requests and spend over time (24h, 7d or 30d) with totals, the previous period and a per-model split.

  • get_ai_overviewAI balance overview

AI balance (available, held, free credit, model-limited credit), wallet balance, top-up packs (id, amount, bonus), minimum top-up, tax and auto top-up settings. Use it before topup_ai_balance. Needs a whole-account key (a key limited to one project gets 403 ACCOUNT_KEY_REQUIRED).

  • get_ai_usageAI usage

This month's AI spend by model, and request history (model, tokens, charge in IDR, latency, status), newest first; page with page/limit.

  • get_databaseGet database

One database with its plan, compute settings and branches.

  • get_database_balanceDatabase credit balance

Credit left on the paid plan: compute (CU-hours) and storage remaining. Zero on the free plan. Top up with upgrade_database.

  • get_database_connectionGet database connection

Connection string (postgresql://…, pooled, SSL) and its parts for an environment's branch. Contains the password: store it as a secret variable (e.g. DATABASE_URL via set_variables secrets), never print it unless asked.

  • get_database_settingsGet database compute settings

Compute settings (paid plans): minCu (floor), maxCu (autoscaling ceiling), suspendTimeoutSeconds (idle time before scaling to zero), the plan's maximum CU.

  • get_database_statsDatabase live stats

Live compute stats of an environment's branch over the last hours: CPU, memory, rows read/written, cache hit rate, connections. grouping min/hour/day sets the point size.

  • get_database_usageDatabase usage

This period's compute (CU-hours), storage, history and network, plus the plan's remaining credits.

  • get_deploymentGet deployment

Status of one deployment: pending, running, success, failed, cancelled or removed. Poll every few seconds until it settles.

The build and rollout log of a deployment. Read it when a deployment failed.

  • get_domainGet domain

    One registered domain.

  • get_domain_priceDomain price detail

Registration, renewal and transfer price (IDR, VAT included) and WHOIS privacy price of one extension, by the price id from domain_prices.

  • get_emailGet email

One sent email with its status and events.

  • get_email_broadcastGet broadcast

One broadcast: content, audience (segmentId / topicId; neither = all subscribed contacts), status, schedule and counts.

  • get_email_broadcast_recipientsBroadcast recipients

Recipients of a broadcast that has been sent (or is sending), with per-person status (queued, sent, delivered, bounced, skipped and why). Empty for a draft: recipients are chosen at send time, so count a draft's audience with preview_email_segment / list_email_segments.

  • get_email_contactGet email contact

One contact with status, properties, segments and topics.

  • get_email_domainGet sending domain

One sending domain: verification status and the DNS records to add. ownershipVerified is true once the ownership TXT is confirmed; status turns verified only when DKIM passes too. When the domain is registered at Helipod, add_domain_email_records adds the records in one call.

  • get_email_eventsEmail events

Delivery timeline of one sent email: sent, delivered, opened, clicked, bounced, complained, with times and details.

  • get_email_planGet email plan

The project's current email plan and subscription: plan, period, expiry, auto-renew, extra mailboxes and storage. plan is null when there is none.

  • get_email_templateGet email template

  • get_function_codeGet function source

Source code of a function service (409 NOT_A_FUNCTION for other services).

  • get_git_connectionsGit connections

Whether the user connected GitHub (sign-in + the Helipod GitHub App, with the accounts it is installed on) and GitLab, plus connectUrl: the Helipod page where the user connects them. Check this before deploying from a private repo. Connecting needs the user in a browser: give them connectUrl, never try to connect yourself.

  • get_inbox_messageGet inbox message
