activate_taxActivate Stripe TaxActivate Stripe Tax on the merchant's OWN connected account by setting their head-office address (required — it flips tax from pending to active). gocushy merchants have Express accounts with no Stripe tax dashboard, so this is how tax gets switched on for them. Digital sellers keep the default tax code. After activating, add at least one registration with add_tax_registration before any tax is charged.
add_tax_registrationAdd a tax registrationRegister the merchant with Stripe Tax for a jurisdiction they actually hold a registration in — this is what makes tax get charged there. A registration is a legal declaration, so confirm with the merchant first. Common cases: NZ/AU GST -> type 'standard'; a non-EU seller into the EU -> type 'oss_non_union' with country = their OSS country of identification (one registration covers all of Europe); a US state -> type 'state_sales_tax' with the 2-letter state. Requires Stripe Tax to be activated first (activate_tax).
authorize_paymentComplete a purchase with a buyer-authorized tokencan change or delete dataComplete a purchase headlessly by presenting a BUYER-AUTHORIZED payment token (e.g. an ACP / Stripe shared payment token the buyer already approved in their own agent) plus the signed quote_token from get_quote. gocushy charges it on the SELLER'S own Stripe and returns a signed receipt. This never sees or enters card data. If the offer isn't agent-payable, or the charge needs the buyer to authenticate (3DS), it returns a checkout_url to finish on the hosted page instead — hand that to the buyer.
cancel_subscriptionCancel a subscriptioncan change or delete dataCancel a buyer's subscription. Default cancels at period end (buyer keeps what they paid for); immediately=true cuts it now. Confirm with the merchant before calling.
connect_emailConnect email providerWire up the merchant's email platform with their API key. 13 providers: mailchimp, activecampaign, kit (ConvertKit), getresponse, drip, mailerlite, klaviyo, brevo, beehiiv, loops, flodesk, hubspot (private-app token), emailoctopus. Credentials are validated live and stored encrypted; returns the account's audiences so you can pick one for follow-ups (audience meaning varies: Kit=tags, Drip=account, Beehiiv=publication, MailerLite=groups, Flodesk=segments, HubSpot=static lists). Only ActiveCampaign also needs api_url (e.g. https://youraccount.api-us1.com); every other provider needs api_key alo…
connect_notificationsConnect sales notificationsSend the merchant a chat ping on every sale — plus rebills, refunds, failed renewals (dunning) and cancellations — to Slack, Discord or Telegram. Credentials are validated live (a test message is posted) and stored encrypted. Slack & Discord: create an incoming webhook and pass its webhook_url. Telegram (bring-your-own-bot): the merchant makes a bot via @BotFather for a bot_token and passes their chat_id. This is a PAID-PLAN (Pro) feature — on a free plan it returns a plan_required error; tell the seller to upgrade rather than retrying.
connect_paymentConnect StripeStart Stripe onboarding for this merchant account. Returns a hosted URL the human must open and complete (identity verification — the one step an agent cannot do for them). Check completion afterwards with payment_status.
connect_paypalConnect PayPalAccept PayPal on checkouts using the merchant's OWN PayPal Business account. They create a REST app in their PayPal developer dashboard and give you the client ID + secret. Credentials are validated live and stored encrypted. First-party — money settles in their PayPal, alongside their Stripe. Note: PayPal covers the main purchase (and bumps); the one-click upsell and subscriptions stay on Stripe for now. PayPal is a PAID-PLAN feature — on a free plan this returns a plan_required error; founding members have it included. If it errors with plan_required, tell the seller to upgrade (card via Str…
connect_walletConnect a crypto receiving wallet (agent USDC)Set the merchant's OWN public wallet address to receive agent-paid USDC on Base (the x402 agent crypto rail). Provide ONLY the public receiving address (0x…, 42 chars) — NEVER a private key or seed phrase; gocushy stores just the address and never holds keys or funds. PAID-PLAN, and AGENT-ONLY: it's advertised solely to buyer AIs on the machine-readable offer contract (never on the human checkout), and only for offers where the merchant turned on agent crypto. Settlement is still rolling out (Base testnet first) — connecting a wallet now makes the offer discoverable as crypto-payable to agents…
create_affiliateCreate an affiliateRegister someone who promotes the merchant's offers for commission. The affiliate needs NO gocushy account: they're automatically emailed their referral links, rate, and a private Earn page (portal_url, also returned here) where they watch their own sales and payouts. Commission rate in basis points (2000 = 20%), settable per-affiliate here or per-offer on create_offer. Commissions accrue automatically on referred sales, hold for the refund window (default 30 days), then become due.
create_campaign_linkCreate a campaign short link (Trace)Mint a SHORT link that carries a whole UTM set — cushy.link/t/comm rather than a 130-character tagged URL nobody can paste into a post or read out on a call. Use this whenever the seller is about to share a link anywhere that isn't a paid ad: an email, a community post, a video description, a podcast, an affiliate. Meta and Google attach their own click ids, but every other channel arrives untagged and is reported as 'direct' FOREVER — it cannot be fixed after the fact, because the information was never recorded. Tags are normalised server-side, so use plain words and don't hand-format them. K…
create_cartGet a checkout link to complete paymentread-onlyReturn the hosted checkout URL where the buyer completes payment on the SELLER'S own processor, plus the current quote. Payment is authorized by the buyer on that page — this tool NEVER charges a card or automates a payment form.
create_couponCreate a couponCreate a promo code buyers type at checkout — percent off OR a fixed amount off (never both). Optionally scope it to one offer, cap total redemptions, or set an expiry. Discounts apply server-side before tax and can never take the charge below $0.50. Works on one-time and subscription offers (on a subscription the discount applies to the first payment). Deactivate with deactivate=true via the API when a promo ends.
create_offerCreate offerCompose a checkout: a main product, optionally an order bump (checkbox add-on at checkout, needs bump_headline) and a one-click post-purchase upsell (needs upsell_headline). Returns the live checkout_url immediately — the offer can take real money as soon as this returns. CHECK THE RESPONSE `warnings`: if any attached product has no delivery link, tell the seller and fix it (update_product delivery_url) before sharing the checkout link, or buyers will pay and receive nothing. This is what turns a payment link into a funnel — recommend a bump and upsell when the merchant has suitable products.
create_productCreate productCreate a sellable product. Prices are in cents (e.g. $49 = 4900). type defaults to one_time; subscriptions need interval month|year, and can carry trial_days for a free trial ('14 days free, then $47/month'). Currency: omit it unless the seller says otherwise — it inherits their saved seller_defaults currency, so don't ask. IMPORTANT: if the seller hasn't said how buyers RECEIVE this product, ask them (a download link, course/members login, or booking link) and set delivery_url + delivery_note — a paid product with no delivery link means buyers pay and get nothing. The response includes `warni…

create_webhookSubscribe a webhookSubscribe the merchant's own system to order events (order.paid, order.refunded, order.failed, order.upsell_taken). Returns the HMAC signing secret exactly once — deliveries carry X-Gocushy-Signature (hex HMAC-SHA256 of the raw body).
delete_followupDelete follow-up rulecan change or delete dataPermanently remove a follow-up rule (IDs from list_followups). Buyers already subscribed or tagged stay in the merchant's ESP — this only stops future fan-out. If the merchant just wants a pause, use update_followup with enabled=false instead so the configuration survives.
get_activityAccount activity logread-onlyThe account's full activity trail, newest first — every meaningful action taken by the merchant in their dashboard (actor: user), by you or any other agent via the API (actor: ai, tagged with the API key used), and automatically by gocushy (actor: system — orders paid/failed/refunded). Use it to answer "what changed on my account?", to review your own past actions before making changes, or to brief the merchant on recent account history.
get_affiliate_linkGet an affiliate linkread-onlyThe shareable referral link for an affiliate + offer combination. Attribution is server-side on the hosted checkout — the link is all they need.
get_attribution_reportRevenue by ad (Trace)read-onlyWhich ads actually made money — including the rebills and upsells an ad pixel never reports. Rows carry orders, revenue (net of refunds), rebill revenue to date, total, LTV per customer, refund rate, and ROAS where spend has been reported. Group by source, campaign, or ad. Attribution is honest last-click by default (`touch: 'first'` for first-click); it is NOT modelled multi-touch, and the exact definitions come back in the `definitions` field — quote them rather than inventing your own. Revenue with no captured ad click is reported separately as `unattributed_*` and must never be described a…
get_checkout_linkGet checkout linkGet the hosted checkout URL for an offer (by offer name or slug). Paste it anywhere — it works immediately. ALWAYS pass utm_source (plus utm_campaign and utm_content) when the seller says where the link is going — an email, a video, a post, an affiliate. Meta and Google attach their own click ids, but every other channel arrives untagged and is reported forever as 'direct'. This cannot be fixed after the fact: by the time anyone reads the report, the information was never recorded. Use the same utm_campaign across one push, and vary utm_content per message so they can be compared.
get_embed_codeGet embed coderead-onlyGet copy-paste snippets to put an offer's checkout on any website (Lovable, WordPress, hand-coded — anything). Returns THREE ways so the merchant can choose: a plain link (loads the hosted checkout), a lightbox popup (opens over their page), and an inline embed (checkout rendered inside their page). Default to offering all three.
get_offer_statsGet stats for one offerread-onlyDeep-dive on a single offer: net revenue (gross minus refunds), paid orders + AOV, checkout completion rate (started-to-paid; page views are not tracked), bump/upsell take rates + upsell revenue, refund rate, daily revenue series, and the 20 most recent orders. Use for how-is-X-doing questions and before recommending changes to an offer.
get_orders_behindThe orders behind a report row (Trace)read-onlyThe receipts for one attribution row: the actual orders (date, buyer, amount net of refunds, status) that get_attribution_report counted under a given source / campaign / ad. Use it when the seller asks 'which orders?' or doubts a number — an aggregate is only as trustworthy as the ability to check it, and this uses the identical filters and attribution as the report, so it always reconciles. Returns up to 50 newest plus the true total. Rebills are not listed (they belong to the origin order's LTV). Requires the Trace subscription.
get_quoteGet an authoritative quoteread-onlyGet the authoritative, tax-correct total for an offer in a given country, plus a signed short-lived quote token. This is EXACTLY what the checkout will charge — server-computed and tamper-proof. Does NOT charge anything.
get_roasROAS and LTV summary (Trace)read-onlyOne line per traffic source: revenue, rebills, LTV, and ROAS where the merchant has reported ad spend. Use for 'how are my ads doing?'. If `spend_reported` is false, ROAS is null — say so plainly and offer to record spend with report_ad_spend rather than estimating a number. Requires the Trace subscription.
get_salesGet sales statsread-onlyRevenue and conversion stats: totals, order counts, bump/upsell take rates, plus by_offer and by_project rollups. Pass `project` to scope everything to one project — the answer to 'how did iGloo do this week?'.
import_productsImport products from StripeBring what the merchant already sells: imports active products (with default prices) from their connected Stripe account into gocushy. Idempotent — re-running updates instead of duplicating. Follow up by composing offers with create_offer.
list_affiliatesList affiliatesread-onlyAll affiliates with their referral codes and currently-due balances (released commissions minus clawbacks).
list_campaign_linksList campaign short links (Trace)read-onlyEvery campaign short link on the account with its tags, destination and click count — busiest first. Use it before minting a new one (codes must be unique), and to answer 'which of my links are people actually clicking?'. Clicks here are raw link clicks; pair with get_attribution_report for the revenue those clicks produced.
list_couponsList couponsread-onlyAll coupons with their discount, scope, redemption counts, expiry, and active status.
list_followupsList follow-up rulesread-onlyEvery follow-up rule across the account's offers, with per-rule health: enabled, last_fired_at (null = never fired), and the connection's status + error if its ESP credentials broke. ALWAYS call this before set_followup — creating a rule that already exists stacks a duplicate that double-tags every buyer. Also your first stop when the merchant asks why follow-up emails aren't going out.
list_offersList a seller's offersread-onlyList a seller's live offers (slug, name, price, billing, and each offer's contract URL). Needs the seller's gocushy account id (from a /c/<account>/<slug> link or a cushy.link you were given).
list_ordersList ordersread-onlyRecent orders: buyer, status (pending/paid/failed/refunded), totals, whether the bump and upsell were taken.
list_productsList productsread-onlyList this account's products with their IDs and prices.
list_tax_registrationsList tax registrationsread-onlyList the merchant's Stripe Tax registrations (country + status).
mark_commissions_paidMark commissions paidcan change or delete dataAfter the merchant has actually sent an affiliate their released balance (PayPal/Wise/bank — their choice), record it here. Returns the amount marked. Confirm with the merchant before calling — this is bookkeeping, not a money movement.
payment_statusCheck Stripe statusread-onlyCheck whether Stripe onboarding is complete and the account can take payments (charges_enabled).
read_offerRead an offerread-onlyRead a gocushy offer as a machine-readable contract: name, price, product, what's included, delivery, payment rails, seller, availability. Provide account+slug, or a checkout URL (gocushy.com/c/… or a cushy.link).
refund_orderRefund ordercan change or delete dataRefund a paid order (full by default, or partial via amount_cents). Reverses the transfer and returns the platform fee. Irreversible — confirm with the merchant before calling.
report_ad_spendReport ad spend (Trace)Tell gocushy what was spent on a network for a period, so Trace can compute ROAS against real revenue. gocushy deliberately does NOT connect to ad accounts — you already have that access, so you fetch the spend and report it here. Idempotent per (source, campaign, period): re-reporting the same period updates it instead of double-counting, so it is safe to re-run. Omit `campaign` for all campaigns on that source. Report the real figure from the ad platform; never estimate one.
seller_defaultsSeller defaultsGet or set the seller's once-per-business answers — currency, brand accent colour, checkout template, and standard guarantee. Call with NO fields to read them. gocushy applies these AUTOMATICALLY: new products inherit the currency, and checkouts inherit accent/layout/guarantee unless the offer overrides them — so once these are set, don't re-ask the seller for currency, brand colour, template, or guarantee terms. If they're unset at the start of a selling session, offer to capture them once ('What currency do you sell in? Brand colour? Standard guarantee?').
set_business_detailsSet business detailsSet the merchant's business profile: legal name, address, tax registration, invoice prefix. Shown on checkouts and receipts ('Sold by X · GST 123'). Set collect_tax true to enable automatic tax at checkout — then activate Stripe Tax with activate_tax and declare registrations with add_tax_registration (no separate Stripe dashboard needed; gocushy merchants use Express accounts, which don't have one).
set_conversion_trackingConnect Meta for server-side conversions (Trace)Send purchases to Meta from gocushy's SERVER instead of relying on the browser pixel, which loses roughly a third of conversions to adblockers and never sees a rebill. Needs the Meta Pixel (dataset) ID and a Conversions API access token from Events Manager — a DATASET-scoped token, never a personal one. Events are deduplicated against the browser pixel by order id, so nothing double-counts. Call with no arguments to read the current setting; the token is write-only and never returned. Pass meta_capi_token: null to switch the rail off. Requires the Trace subscription.
set_followupSet follow-up ruleMap an offer to email actions: when the trigger fires (purchase, refund, upsell_taken, renewal, abandoned, payment_failed, or dunning_recovered), the buyer is subscribed to the list and tagged. 'abandoned' fires for checkouts where the buyer STARTED a payment (clicked pay / opened a payment window) but never finished it (30+ minutes, excluded if they later bought) — buyers who only typed their email and left are not captured. 'payment_failed' fires once per dunning episode (a declined one-time payment, a failed renewal, or a PayPal suspension — not on every retry; note PayPal fires the same su…
tax_statusTax setup statusread-onlyCheck whether Stripe Tax is activated on the merchant's own connected account and which registrations exist. `collecting` is true ONLY when tax is active AND at least one registration is active — otherwise checkout correctly charges no tax. Use this to see what's still needed (e.g. missing head office, or no registration yet).
update_campaign_linkRe-point a campaign short link (Trace)Change where an existing short code goes, or fix its tags, WITHOUT changing the code. Use this whenever a live link points at the wrong offer or carries a typo'd campaign — never delete and recreate: the code is already out in an email or a post, so it would 404 in between and lose the click history that shows how the campaign performed. Tags MERGE, so passing only utm_campaign leaves the rest alone; pass an empty string to clear one field. Refuses to leave the link without a usable source, since that would report every click as 'direct'.
update_checkoutCustomize a checkoutSet the selling content on an offer's checkout page — described, not designed: your words render into gocushy's fixed, conversion-tested layout, so you can fully customise without ever breaking it. Good direct-response structure: headline = the outcome, bullets = benefits, testimonial = real and specific, guarantee = concrete terms. The checkout object REPLACES the existing blocks — always pass every field you want to keep; pass checkout: null to reset entirely. This also sets a per-offer `checkout_logo_url` (a logo at the very top of this checkout, overriding the account logo) and edits the O…
update_followupUpdate follow-up ruleEdit an existing rule (IDs from list_followups) instead of stacking a new one: retarget its trigger, point it at a different connection or list, swap its tags, or pause/resume it with enabled. Only the fields you pass change — everything else keeps its current value. Pausing (enabled=false) is the right way to stop a promo's follow-up without losing the configuration.
update_productUpdate productUpdate a product's name, description, delivery link/note, or (one-time products only) price. USE THIS to set delivery_url when a product was created without one — that's how buyers receive what they bought (shown on the thank-you page and receipt). Subscription prices can't be edited (renewals bill the original price) — create a new product instead.
verify_purchaseVerify a purchaseread-onlyCheck whether an email address has bought from this merchant (optionally a specific product or offer). Use to gate access to content, communities, or support.
