Tools (19)

Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • gameye_check_tagCheck image tagread-only

Verify that a specific Docker image tag has been deployed to a given region in the Gameye fleet. Use this before launching a session to confirm the version is available.

  • gameye_contextServer contextread-only

Show which Gameye environment and host this server targets, the server version and the guardrail defaults. The environment is fixed when the server starts (GAMEYE_ENV / GAMEYE_API_URL) and cannot be changed by a tool call.

  • gameye_create_applicationCreate application

Admin tool. Create a new application (an image Gameye can run). Set tls on a port here if you need it: it can only be set at creation, because gameye_edit_application drops it. Needs the application:write scope. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_create_tokenCreate API token

Admin tool. Create a Gameye API token and write it to a file; the token value is never returned. outputPath must be an absolute path outside any git working tree; an existing file is refused unless overwrite=true, and symlinks are always refused. The file is created with 0600 permissions. expires_after defaults to 24h. Requested scopes must be a subset of this server's token scopes (webhook:github is the one exception). Needs the token:write scope. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_describe_sessionDescribe sessionread-only

Get details of a Gameye session: status, players, host, ports, connection string, labels and creation time. Values of the session's environment are never shown.

  • gameye_edit_applicationEdit applicationcan change or delete data

Admin tool. Change an existing application with PUT /application/{name}. Fields you omit stay unchanged; regions and ports, when given, replace the whole list. Warning: the server ignores tls on ports sent through edit and stores tls=false, so sending ports here turns off TLS on every port. Omit ports to keep existing TLS ports; set TLS ports with gameye_create_application. Needs the application:write scope. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_enable_tagEnable image tag

Enable an image tag for an application so Gameye preloads it across its infrastructure; re-enabling an existing tag pulls it forward. Use this when a registry webhook did not register the tag. The server checks the regions:read scope. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_get_artifactsDownload session artifacts

Download a file or directory (crash dumps, replays, logs) from a session's container. The server returns an uncompressed tar archive, saved to a new private temp directory; the local path is returned.

  • gameye_get_locationsGet available locationsread-only

Get the list of available regions/datacenters that can host a given game image, along with ping IPs for latency testing.

  • gameye_get_logsGet session logsread-only

Fetch a snapshot of stdout/stderr logs from a Gameye session (the last 50,000 characters). Live streaming is not available through MCP; call again to see newer output.

  • gameye_launch_sessionLaunch session

Start a containerized game server session on the Gameye platform. Returns the session ID, host and ports. Starts a billable session in the environment shown in the result prefix. When no ttl is given, a 30m TTL is applied and reported. The label launched-by=gameye-mcp is always sent and replaces any launched-by value you pass; if a warm pool serves the image and region, the server ignores request labels (and env and args), so warm-pool sessions do not carry it. The launch is refused, with nothing sent, if any env value, arg or label contains this server's Gameye API token. Pass dryRun=true to …

  • gameye_list_applicationsList applicationsread-only

List your organization's applications (images Gameye can run) with registry, repository, resources, regions and ports. Needs the application:read scope.

  • gameye_list_regionsList regionsread-only

List the region names available to your organization in this environment. Use a region name when creating or editing an application. To see which regions can host a specific image right now, use gameye_get_locations. Needs the region:read scope.

  • gameye_list_registry_tagsList registry tagsread-only

List the image tags available for an application in its upstream registry (Docker Hub, ECR or GHCR), one page at a time. A tag listed here is not necessarily enabled in Gameye; use gameye_enable_tag to enable one and gameye_check_tag to confirm it reached a region. Needs the application:read scope.

  • gameye_list_sessionsList sessionsread-only

List game server sessions with host, ports and connection string. By default only running sessions are returned; pass all=true to include sessions in every status. filter and filterNot match user labels only (the labels given at launch), not system fields such as image or location — use the dedicated parameters for those. Values of the session's environment are never shown.

  • gameye_player_joinPlayers join session

Register one or more players as joined in a Gameye session. Returns the session's player count and IDs as reported by the server. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_player_leavePlayers leave session

Remove one or more players from a Gameye session. Returns the session's player count and IDs as reported by the server.

  • gameye_stop_sessionStop sessioncan change or delete data

Terminate one Gameye session by its exact ID (sends SIGTERM to the container). Any players connected to it are disconnected. The session transitions to 'draining' then 'shuttingdown' then 'exited'. There is no bulk or implicit stop: an empty, wildcard or list ID is refused. Pass dryRun=true to preview the request.

  • gameye_update_skillsCheck and update the Gameye skills

Compare the installed Gameye agent skills with the latest pack on GitHub, and update them. Finds installs made with the skills CLI (user-wide or in this project) and the Claude Code plugin gameye@gameye. Without apply it only checks and changes nothing. With apply=true it runs each outdated install's own updater (npx skills update for the Gameye skills only, or claude plugin update) when the operator set GAMEYE_ENABLE_SKILLS_UPDATE=1; otherwise it lists the commands for the user to run. Ask the user before applying. Updates come only through those package managers; this tool never downloads or…
