Tools (16)
Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].
calculate_tollEstimate toll costs (AUD) for driving between two places in NSW, with the toll roads used. origin/destination: a place name, address or 'lat, lng'. when: 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM' Sydney time (tolls vary by time of day); default now. vehicle: "car" (class A, incl. motorcycles) or "truck" (class B). compare_toll_free: also return the quickest toll-free route so the time saved can be weighed against the cost. Results are estimates from Transport for NSW and may differ from what is actually charged.
find_fuel_pricesFind prices (cents/L) for one fuel type at stations near a location. Give either location (suburb or postcode, e.g. "Redfern", "2016") or latitude/longitude. fuel_type is a code from list_fuel_types (e.g. "U91", "E10", "DL").
find_stopsSearch train stations, bus stops, wharves and light rail stops by name. Returns stop IDs and the modes served.
get_car_park_availabilityLive free spaces at Transport Park&Ride car parks (about 40 car parks at stations across Sydney). query: text matched against car park name and suburb (e.g. "Tallawong", "Penrith"). near: a place name, address or 'lat, lng'; only car parks within radius_km are returned, nearest first. With neither, all are listed.
get_car_park_historyHow full a Park&Ride car park was through one day: hourly occupancy, the peak, and when it first filled up. facility_id: from get_car_park_availability. date: 'YYYY-MM-DD'. Useful for "what time does it usually fill up?".
get_departuresNext departures from a station or stop, with real-time delays and platforms. stop: a stop name (e.g. "Town Hall Station") or stop ID from find_stops. modes: only include these modes (e.g. ["train"]). when: 'HH:MM' or 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM' Sydney time; default now.
get_licence_detailsFull public-register record for one licence: classes (what work it covers), conditions, history, premises, associated people and licences, and compliance actions (disciplinary actions, suspensions, prosecutions, public warnings, insurance claims). licence_id: the `licenceID` from verify_licence or search_licences (not the licence number).
get_service_alertsCurrent disruptions, trackwork and service changes. Filter by mode, line (e.g. "T1", "L2", "333") and/or stop name. There are usually hundreds of current alerts, so always filter when you can.
get_station_pricesCurrent prices (cents/L) for every fuel type at one station.
get_traffic_hazardsLive Traffic NSW hazards: crashes, breakdowns, roadworks, floods, fires, alpine conditions and major events. categories: which feeds to read (default: all). area: text matched against suburb, region and road names (e.g. "Parramatta", "M4", "Blue Mountains"). near: a place name, address or 'lat, lng'; only hazards within radius_km are returned, nearest first. include_ended: also return hazards that have finished. Open roadworks and events include planned ones that haven't started yet; check `start`.
list_fuel_typesList fuel type codes and names (e.g. U91 = Unleaded 91, E10, P98, DL = Diesel).
list_registersList the NSW registers this server can search, what each covers, and whether its API key is configured.
plan_tripPlan a public transport journey from A to B, using real-time data where available. origin/destination: a place name (station, address, landmark like "UNSW"), stop ID, or 'lat, lng'. when: 'HH:MM' or 'YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM' Sydney time; default now. arrive_by: treat `when` as the arrival deadline. modes: only use these modes (walking is always allowed).
search_licencesSearch a NSW register by person or business name (partial names work). Current licences are listed first. Returns licence_id values for get_licence_details. The register returns at most 200 matches, so use a more specific name if `truncated` is true.
search_stationsSearch stations by name, brand or address (incl. suburb/postcode). Use the returned station_code with get_station_prices.

verify_licenceCheck a licence number on a NSW register: status (Current/Expired/...), expiry date, licence type and holder. licence_number: as printed on the licence or quote, e.g. "241132C". If not found, the number may belong to a different register.
