Tools (200)

Read from the source code; the running server may differ. Descriptions are the server’s own words; hidden characters are shown as [U+…].

  • account_add

Add a new Google account: pass alias + email directly (plus optional bundles/allBundles/admin), or pass nothing for an interactive form where the client supports elicitation. Writes the registry and runs Google consent in the browser. No file editing or restart needed to use the account (tools of a service it newly enables register at the next restart). Requires GOOGLE_CLIENT_ID/SECRET (run the `setup` prompt first if missing).

  • account_list

List the configured Google accounts: alias, email, admin flag, token status (ok / expired_refreshable / needs_reauth / missing / decrypt_error), and which one is the default. Pass verbose: true for the full per-account report (granted vs configured scopes).

  • account_reauth

Re-authenticate an existing Google account (recover a dead refresh token, or grant scopes after a profile change). Runs Google consent in the browser. Pass the account alias.

  • account_write_config

Register this server with your MCP client (Claude Code / Claude Desktop / Cursor) so you don't hand-edit JSON. Default: returns the exact snippet/command to add. Pass write:true to write detected file-based configs in place (backs up first, never clobbers a malformed file). Secrets are never inlined.

  • admin_group_members_list

List members of a Workspace group

  • admin_groups_list

List groups in the Workspace customer

  • admin_users_get

Get a single Workspace user by email or user ID

  • admin_users_list

List users in the Workspace customer. Filter by domain or customer=my_customer.

  • admin_users_update

Update a Workspace user (PATCH semantics). Gated by write-control (a CUD tool).

  • analytics_account_summaries

List every Google Analytics (GA4) account and property this Google account can access, with their numeric property IDs. The starting point for any Analytics question ("what properties do I have?").

  • analytics_get_metadata

List every valid dimension and metric API name for a GA4 property, including its custom definitions. Call this before analytics_run_report when unsure which names exist. Property "0" returns the standard set without property access.

  • analytics_run_realtime_report

Run a GA4 realtime report: who is on the site right now (last 30 minutes). Realtime supports a restricted set of names, e.g. metrics activeUsers, screenPageViews, eventCount, keyEvents; dimensions country, city, deviceCategory, unifiedScreenName, eventName.

  • analytics_run_report

Run a Google Analytics (GA4) report: metrics over a date range, optionally grouped by dimensions — the workhorse for questions like "how many users last week, by country". Dates accept YYYY-MM-DD or relative forms ("today", "yesterday", "28daysAgo"). Also accepts the native GA4 request shapes directly: a single dateRanges entry in place of startDate/endDate, and metrics/dimensions as {name} objects. Unsure which dimension/metric names are valid? Call analytics_get_metadata first.

  • contacts_search

Search contacts by name, email, phone, or organization

  • contacts_update

Update an existing contact (reads current etag automatically)

  • diagnoseread-only

Health report for this server: runtime, config, keys, per-account token status, scope grants, and API enablement. Read-only; returns copy-pasteable fixes for anything wrong. Call this to diagnose auth/config failures.

  • discover_all

Reveal ALL curated Google tools at once (instead of per-service discovery). Use when starting substantial Google work; prefer these over google_api_call. Pair with discover_reset.

  • discover_reset

Collapse the tool surface back to the configured default, reclaiming context budget after heavy Google work. All tools remain callable by name after collapsing.

  • docs_add_tab

Add a new tab to a document. Can be a top-level tab or nested as a child of an existing tab.

  • docs_batch_update

Generic documents.batchUpdate pass-through. Accepts the full Request union (40 types). See https://developers.google.com/workspace/docs/api/reference/rest/v1/documents/request

  • docs_insert_page_break

Insert text into a document at a specific position or at the end

  • docs_modify_table

  • drive_shared_drive_get

Get metadata for a specific shared drive

  • drive_shared_drives_list

List shared drives the account has access to

  • drive_transfer

Copy or move a file from one configured account to another (server-side share+copy, with a download+upload fallback). The copy is owned by the target account with a clean name (no "Copy of"); the temporary share on the source is revoked afterwards. Comments, revision history, and permissions do not transfer. move=true trashes the source after a successful copy and requires deletes to be allowed by write-control.

  • drive_trash

Move a file to Google Drive trash. Recoverable from Drive UI or via drive_untrash.

  • drive_untrash

Restore a trashed file from Google Drive trash back to its previous location.

  • drive_update

Rename, move, or replace content of a Drive file. Any combination in one call. For untrash, use drive_untrash.

  • drive_upload

Upload a file to Google Drive, from inline base64 content or (when this server exposes the host filesystem) a local path. Pass `convertTo` to import it as a native, editable Google Doc/Sheet/Slides/Drawing instead of storing the raw bytes.

  • forms_batch_update

Add or remove labels on a Gmail message. Use system label IDs like STARRED, UNREAD, INBOX, TRASH, or custom label IDs from gmail_list_labels.

  • gmail_read

Read a full Gmail message by ID (body capped at 50k chars unless full=true). Pass `headers` for metadata mode: no body decoding, just id, threadId, labelIds and the named headers.

  • gmail_read_batchread-only

Read many Gmail messages by ID in one call, collapsing the search→read triage loop. Bodies are capped at 50k chars each (unless full=true) and the aggregate output is bounded. Returns one ordered entry per id plus a trailing counts summary; a single failed id does NOT fail the batch. Pass `headers` for metadata mode: no body decoding, just id, threadId, labelIds and the named headers per entry.

  • gmail_read_thread

Read all messages in a Gmail thread (bodies capped at 50k chars each unless full=true). mode=summary returns headers + snippets only.

  • gmail_search

Search messages in a Gmail account. Returns compact rows (id, from, subject, date, snippet); pass full=true for threadId, to, labelIds and the untruncated snippet. For a recurring "what is new" sweep, prefer gmail_list_history over polling this with since.

Send an existing Gmail draft by its draft ID

  • gmail_set_vacation

Enable or disable Gmail vacation responder with a custom message

  • gmail_trash

Move a Gmail message to Trash (recoverable)

  • google_api_callcan change or delete data

Invoke any Google Workspace REST method by Discovery id (escape hatch for operations without a dedicated tool). Find methods with google_api_search first. A write asks the connected human to confirm the real call (account, verb, params, a destinations-first body summary) unless GOOGLE_PROFILE=full-writes with no outbound allowlist; GOOGLE_READ_ONLY or a matching GOOGLE_WRITE_DENY still refuse outright. On reads, pass a `fields` query param (Google partial response) to keep the payload small. Returns JSON only; for binary/file content (media downloads, drive.files.export) use drive_download / d…
