  • cancel_forex_order

    Cancel a pending forex entry order by its order_id.

  • cancel_order

    Cancel a pending limit order by its order_id.

  • close_forex_position

    Close an open forex position at the live rate, banking its P&L. Use list_forex_positions to get the position_id.

  • get_account

    Get one account in full: cash, holdings priced live (with P&L), pending limit orders, and watchlist.

  • get_price_history

    Get OHLC candles + technical indicators (SMA20, SMA50, RSI14, 20-bar support/resistance, trend) for a stock, ETF, crypto (BTC-USD), or forex pair (EURUSD=X). Use for candlestick and technical analysis. interval: '1day' (default), '1week', or intraday '5min'/'15min'/'1h' (use '1h' for hourly analysis). limit = candles returned (default 60).

  • get_quote

    Get a live quote for a stock, ETF, crypto (BTC-USD), or forex pair (EURUSD=X). Includes price, day range, and 52-week range.

  • get_research_journal

    Read immutable research plans, no-trade decisions, later reviews and linked paper transactions. Omit account_id to include archived research.

  • get_transactions

    Get an account's most recent transactions (buys, sells, deposits, resets). Newest first.

  • link_research_transaction

    Link an owned later matching paper transaction to a prior trade plan. Each execution belongs to at most one plan. Preserve request_id on retries.

  • list_accounts

    List the user's paper-trading accounts with type, cash balance, and holdings count.

  • list_forex_orders

    List pending forex entry orders on a forex account (entry rate, trigger, SL/TP, expiry).

  • list_forex_positions

    List leveraged positions on any market account. Defaults to open positions; status=closed returns recent settled positions for loss tracking. Includes symbol, actual margin, SL/TP, opened/closed times, realized P&L and auto-close deadline.

  • open_crypto_position

    Open a guarded crypto LONG or SHORT with 1x or 2x leverage (default 2x), mandatory stop-loss and take-profit, and an atomic timed exit (default 72 hours, maximum 6 days). Enforces planned stop risk <= 0.5% of available cash, margin <= 25%, reward/risk >= 3, and one leveraged position with no pending entries. Never buys spot. Set dry_run=true to validate without opening. Requires mcp-crypto-risk.sql; missing support returns an error without opening a position.

  • open_forex_position

    Open a leveraged forex position at the live rate on a FOREX account. symbol is a pair like EURUSD=X. units = position size (10000 = 1 mini lot). Optional stop_loss / take_profit prices, and auto_close_minutes for a timed exit. Margin is reserved from cash using the account's leverage.

  • place_forex_entry_order

    Place a PENDING forex entry order: opens a position automatically when the rate reaches entry_rate — for better entries than market (e.g. buy a pullback to support, sell a rally to resistance). Optional stop_loss/take_profit (validated against entry_rate) and expires_minutes (cancels if unfilled). The trigger direction is derived from entry_rate vs the live rate.

  • place_limit_order

    Place a LIMIT order that fills automatically when the price reaches the limit (BUY fills at or below; SELL at or above). time_in_force: GTC (default) or DAY (expires at end of day).

  • record_research

    Record a timestamped plan before a paper trade or no-trade decision. Does not place orders. Preserve request_id on retries.

  • review_research

    Append a later review without rewriting the original hypothesis. Preserve request_id on retries.

  • search_symbols

    Search tradeable symbols by name or ticker. Optional asset_type filters to 'stocks' or 'crypto'.

  • set_execution_profile

    Configure future spot costs for this account/asset class. Explicit fees may be zero. Spread and adverse slippage change price separately; excludes leveraged trades. Preserve request_id on retries.

  • trade

    Execute a MARKET buy or sell immediately at the live price on one of the user's accounts. Crypto accounts trade crypto only; stock accounts trade stocks/ETFs only. Selling requires holding enough units.
