  • call-facetime-video

Start a FaceTime video call. Accepts either a phone number or an Apple ID email address.

  • call-phone

Initiate a cellular phone call to a phone number. Requires a paired iPhone with 'Calls from iPhone' (Continuity) enabled — macOS will route the call through FaceTime to the iPhone. macOS may show a confirmation prompt before dialing.

Trigger Mail.app to check for new mail on one or all accounts

  • clear-range

Clear all values in a range of cells in a Numbers table

  • complete-reminder

Mark a reminder as completed (Reminders.app stamps completion date automatically)

Show 99 more tools
  • compose-message

Create a new email draft in Mail.app (opens compose window, does NOT send). Pass from to pre-select a specific sender account (must be configured in Mail.app). Pass htmlBody for a rich-text/HTML draft; the recipient will see rendered formatting (headings, bold, links) instead of raw tags. When htmlBody is supplied, body is still used as a plain-text fallback for clients that read plain content.

  • create-calendar

Create a new calendar in macOS Calendar.app

  • create-contact

Create a new contact in macOS Contacts.app

  • create-document

Create a new Numbers document, optionally saving it with a given name

  • create-event

Create a new event in a named calendar

  • create-group

Create a new contact group in macOS Contacts.app

  • create-list

Create a new reminder list. If accountName is omitted, the list is created in the default account.

  • create-reminder

Create a new reminder in a named list. Pass `dueDate` for a timed due date, OR `allDayDueDate` for a date-only due date — never both.

  • delete-calendar

Check whether a calendar exists, then return an error explaining that Calendar.app does NOT support deleting calendars via AppleScript (returns -10000). Calendars must be removed from the Calendar.app UI manually.

  • delete-column

Delete a column from a Numbers table

  • delete-contact

Delete a contact from macOS Contacts.app

  • delete-event

    Delete an event by uid

  • delete-group

Delete a contact group from macOS Contacts.app

  • delete-list

Delete a reminder list by name. Reminders.app supports this directly via AppleScript (unlike Calendar.app).

  • delete-messages

Delete one or more email messages by their Mail local IDs or RFC Message-IDs

  • delete-reminder

    Delete a reminder by id

  • delete-row

Delete a row from a Numbers table

Get the raw RFC822 source of an email message

  • get-my-card

Get the user's own contact card from macOS Contacts.app

List all attachments of an email message with metadata

  • list-attendees

List attendees on an event by uid

  • list-groups

List all contact groups in macOS Contacts.app with member counts

  • mark-as-read

Mark one or more email messages as read

  • merge-cells

Merge a range of cells in a Numbers table

  • move-event

Move an event to a different calendar. AppleScript cannot reparent directly, so this deletes the original and recreates it in the target calendar (the new event has a fresh uid).

  • move-messages

Move one or more email messages to a different mailbox

  • move-reminder

Move a reminder to a different list (uses Reminders.app's native `move` verb — id is preserved)

  • overdue-reminders

List reminders whose due date is in the past and that are not yet completed.

  • read-contact

Get full details of a contact by their Contacts.app ID

  • reload-calendars

Force Calendar.app to refresh / reload all calendars from their accounts

  • remove-alarm

Remove an alarm from an event by 1-based index within its combined display+mail+sound alarm list (matching list-alarms output)

  • remove-attendee

Remove an attendee from an event by email

  • remove-from-group

Remove a contact from a group in macOS Contacts.app

  • rename-group

Rename a contact group in macOS Contacts.app

  • rename-sheet

Rename a sheet in a Numbers document

  • rename-table

Rename a table in a Numbers document

  • reply-to-message

Reply to an existing email message. The reply inherits correct threading headers (In-Reply-To / References) from Mail's native reply, so it nests in the thread even in strict clients (Outlook, Gmail web). Pass htmlBody for a branded rich-text/HTML reply; the HTML is rendered above the quoted thread and Mail derives the plain-text fallback. htmlBody cannot be combined with attachments (Mail corrupts the HTML during MIME composition). When htmlBody is supplied, the plain-text body is ignored.

  • resize-row-column

Resize the height of a row or the width of a column in a Numbers table. At least one of row (with height) or column (with width) must be provided.

  • save-attachment

    Save email attachments to disk

Find contacts modified after a given date in macOS Contacts.app

  • search-contacts

Search contacts in macOS Contacts.app by name, email, or phone number

  • search-events

Search events by summary substring across one calendar or all calendars. Bounded by a date window (defaults: −30d to +365d) to stay under the osascript timeout.

  • search-messages

Search messages in a mailbox by subject or sender

  • search-reminders

Search reminders by name substring. Optionally scope to one list (recommended — `whose` filters scan every reminder).

  • send-message

Create and immediately send an email via Mail.app. Pass htmlBody to send a rich-text/HTML message; the recipient will see rendered formatting (headings, bold, links) instead of raw tags. When htmlBody is supplied, body is still used as a plain-text fallback for clients that read plain content.

  • set-cell-format

Set the format of a cell (number, currency, percentage, date, text, etc.)

  • set-cell-style

Set visual styling properties on a cell (font, color, bold, italic, alignment, background)

  • set-formula

Set a formula on a specific cell in a Numbers table (prefix with '=' e.g. '=SUM(B1:B10)')

  • set-message-color

Set the background color highlight of one or more email messages in Mail.app

  • set-priority

Set the priority of a reminder. Maps to Reminders.app's integer enum: none=0, high=1, medium=5, low=9.

Bring Reminders.app to the front and focus a specific reminder
