About

PaperQA2 is a Python package for retrieval augmented generation over PDFs, text files, Office documents and source code, with a focus on scientific literature. It can be run as the pqa ask command or used as a library, and it supports locally hosted and embedding models. The README example answers a question with citations to specific papers and page ranges.
