About

OpenYak is a local desktop app for Codex and Claude Code that drives each agent through its native runtime (Codex App Server or the Claude Agent SDK), with an ACP adapter as an optional path. Projects and transcripts stay on the computer, and files such as Markdown, HTML, PDF and DOCX open beside the conversation. A browser panel uses Playwright MCP so the user and the agent can operate the same page. The v2 line is alpha and needs an existing Codex or Claude Code sign-in.
