About
Octop is a self-hosted AI assistant that runs on the user's own machine and supports several users and several agents, each with its own expert persona. People reach it from a web dashboard, a desktop client, chat apps such as Telegram, Discord and Feishu, or HTTP, SSE and WebSocket clients. It can connect OAuth and MCP connectors, search a knowledge base built from the user's documents, and drive a browser or a terminal. It also works as an ACP agent for IDE and terminal workflows and can delegate work to tools such as Claude Code.
Use cases: personal-assistant, browser-automation, coding, team-chat, knowledge-base
