About

Codewhale is a coding agent that runs in the terminal. Given a task, it reads the repository, edits files and runs commands until the work is done or it needs input. Read-only commands run directly, other shell commands ask first, and a receipts command lists the files changed and the commands, web calls and MCP calls it made. A non-interactive exec mode is available for scripts and CI.

Use cases: coding, code-generation, debugging
