About
CodeAgent is a terminal coding assistant written in Python that reads code, edits files, runs commands and looks up information from natural language requests. It works with OpenAI-compatible and Anthropic-protocol models, with DeepSeek as the default, and asks for approval before destructive commands or writes outside an allowlist. It loads MCP servers from a project .mcp.json file, runs sub-agents and workflows, and turns observed conversations into reusable skills.
Use cases: coding, code-generation
