About
Clay Studio runs on your machine and serves a shared browser workspace in which people and local coding-agent CLIs, such as Claude Code, Codex and GitHub Copilot CLI, work on the same projects and sessions. Teammates see presence, hand off work and answer permission requests, and sessions and knowledge are stored on disk as JSONL and Markdown. Requests go from the browser to the Clay daemon and then to the selected runtime, without a Clay-hosted relay. It is started with npx clay-server and is AGPL-3.0 licensed.
Use cases: coding, agent-orchestration, code-generation
