About
Cindy is an open-source AI agent that runs locally on the user's machine and works with the user's real files and logged-in apps. Claude Code and Codex are the first supported harnesses, and models and harnesses can be mixed, even within one task. It can drive a browser, a computer and a phone, and take work from chat apps and schedules. The repository is the open-source client, with Electron desktop and Expo mobile apps under Apache-2.0, while the backend lives in a separate repository, and users can sign in to the official service, use their own API keys or local models, or skip sign-in.
Use cases: personal-assistant, coding, code-generation, browser-automation, workflow-automation
