About

Cate is a desktop IDE that arranges terminals, editors, browsers and documents on an infinite canvas. Agent CLIs such as Claude Code or Codex report whether they are working, finished or waiting, and Cate notifies the user when one needs input. It can create a git worktree and branch for each piece of work, and its cli lets agents drive a browser panel and open files. Workspaces can run on the local machine or on another paired device.

Use cases: coding, agent-orchestration, code-generation
