About
Abu is a locally run desktop assistant, inspired by Claude Code's Cowork mode, that reads files, runs commands, writes documents and builds reports on your machine. High-risk tasks show a plan first and run only after you confirm, and it can run up to five background agents in parallel. It also supports scheduled tasks, IM bots for Lark, DingTalk, WeCom and Slack, and 29 built-in skills. The README says data stays on the machine and lists Apache 2.0 licensing.
Use cases: personal-assistant, writing, document-processing, workflow-automation, team-chat
